Mithal Mausi Ka Parivar Puran is a compelling family saga written by someone who had buried all her literary aspirations while still an undergraduate. Mithilesh Mukherjee picked up her pen near the end of her life to write about her illustrious parents, her childhood and bittersweet memories of her life and career in a series of letters addressed to her niece Titu at her behest. This is a powerful anecdotal record that affords a peep into a bygone era.
